Frequently asked questions
How do I make an appointment?
Call (330)723-2225 during regular business hours or click here to schedule an appointment online when the office is closed.
Does my insurance cover chiropractic and physical therapy?
We are independent providers covered on nearly all medical plans which include but are not limited to: Aetna, anthem blue cross-blue shield, Cigna, medical mutual, united health care, great west, PHCS, Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation, personal injury and many more.
Do I need a referral?
Since we are providers on most plans, typically a referral is not needed for either chiropractic or physical therapy. We do work with your primary care physician or health care specialist and will inform them of your treatment.
I hurt myself at work, can I come to your office or do I have to go to where my company wants me to go?
Yes you can come to our office, Ohio law allows you to choose your provider. We are both certified by the Bureau of Worker’s Compensation so a referral is not required. We are able to function as your physician of record and can make any needed referrals for your care such as to an orthopedic surgeon or pain clinic specialist.
I was in a car accident; can I come to your office?
Yes, you can come directly to our office and a referral is not needed. You will receive all the appropriate treatment while your primary care physician, attorney and insurance company are updated accordingly.
My family doctor or orthopedic doctor referred me to physical therapy; can I come to your office?
Yes we are on most insurance plans and you can receive physical therapy without a physician’s referral and if a referral is made you have the freedom and are entitled to seek care from the physical therapist of your choice. We will keep the referring physician updated accordingly.
Once I go to a Chiropractor, do I have to go the rest of my life?
No, this is not true. Once you have regained function and the pain has substantially reduced or is gone, you will no longer need chiropractic care. You will be instructed on a home exercise plan to decrease your chances of re-occurrence. At this point you can do more for yourself then any chiropractor can.
